Mini-competition
A smaller competition run between suppliers already on a framework to award a specific contract.
When a framework has several suppliers, buyers often run a mini-competition among them for a particular requirement, rather than awarding directly.
Mini-competitions are faster than open tenders and only open to framework suppliers — another reason getting onto frameworks pays off.
