Below-threshold contract

A contract whose value sits under the procurement thresholds, with lighter-touch rules.

Below-threshold contracts don't have to follow the full procedures, but transparency rules still apply — central government must advertise contracts above £12,000 and sub-central bodies above £30,000.

These contracts are often more accessible to SMEs, so they're well worth tracking even though they sit under the headline thresholds.
