What is the Procurement Act 2023?

The Procurement Act 2023 replaced the older EU-derived rules with a single, simpler regime. It introduced a central digital platform, new notice types that appear earlier in the process, and a stronger emphasis on transparency and access for smaller businesses.

For suppliers, the most useful change is the early notices — pipeline, market engagement and planned procurement — that let prepared bidders engage buyers long before a tender drops.
