TUPE
The rules that protect employees' terms when a service (and its staff) transfers to a new provider.
TUPE (the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations) can apply when you win a contract that involves taking on staff currently delivering the service, transferring them on their existing terms.
It affects your costs and mobilisation plan, so identify early whether a contract is likely to be TUPE-relevant and price and plan accordingly.
